The Human League headline the second day of the Newark Festival
The second day of the Newark Festival promises top music from The Human League, Marc Almond and Heaven 17, and rides, street entertainers and food stalls in the town.
On Stodman Street, Bridge Street and in St Mark’s precinct there will be more than 30 stalls offering specialist foods, crafts, wine and cider.

The food includes specialist cheeses, traditional ice cream, chillis, confectionery, a hog roast, kangaroo, venison, wild boar, English wines and ciders, plus artesan goods and crafts.

There will be fairground rides, amusements and street entertainers.

The food festival will run alongside the usual Saturday market.

Newark and Sherwood District Council carparks and markets business manager Ian Harrison said: “After all the by-election coverage, this is yet another opportunity for Newark to sell itself as one of the most attractive market town centres in the country.”
