A trio of eighties pop acts rolled back the years in front of a crowd of thousands at Newark's Riverside Park on Saturday evening.

Heaven 17, Marc Almond and The Human League performed hit after hit on a balmy summer evening.

Fans came from all over the country for the chance to see three of the biggest acts of their time perform together.

And there was a real sense of anticipation in the crowd at Newark Festival 2014, organised by Liz Hobbs Group and Newark Town Council, at its showpiece event.
