Two men have died at a farm in Normanton, near Bottesford.
Police were called to the farm on Normanton Lane, at 4.30pm on Thursday (December 22).

Post-mortem examinations will be carried out on the two men, aged 35 and 19, to determine the cause of death.

A dog walker, who lives in the village, said: "I was told they were working with the slurry when they got trapped in a silo.

"It's just awful. Those poor men."

One Normanton resident, who did not want to be named said: "We saw fire engines, ambulances and police cars.

"It must have been horrific.

"Those poor men. With the amount of emergency services - there can't have been anything more they could have done to save them.

"It must be heartbreaking for their families and especially so near to Christmas."
