An author has written a short story exclusively for the new National Civil War Centre.

The Prince’s Gambit, which follows a member of Prince Rupert’s army as it defeats Parliamentarian forces just outside Newark, will be published on May 2 to coincide with the opening of the attraction, on Appletongate in the town.
