The original Bramley apple tree has been shortlisted in the 2016 Woodland Trust Tree of the Year competition.

The winning trees in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, will each receive a grant of £1,000 that can be used to arrange a tree health check or advice from an arboriculturalist, pay for interpretation or educational materials or a celebration event in honour of the tree.
