Eclectic singer Richard Stark, who performs in opera and concerts across the world, is headlining a date at Barnbygate Church, Newark.
Stark, a specialist in comedic or lyrical opera roles, will be joined by soprano Justine Balmer and Lincoln choir the Ermine Singers for the concert on Friday, March 31.
The show will be in two halves. The first is semi-scripted, incorporating classical takes on well known rock and pop songs, including the music of Queen, The Hollies, Elbow and Status Quo, as well as innovative takes on Verdi.
The second half will be a concert featuring well-known classical and musical theatre songs, and international folk songs.
It will include pieces such as Funiculi Funicula, Bring Him Home and Time To Say Goodbye.
Stark, an established recording artist who has sold more than 20,000 albums independently, is a classically-trained singer.
His diverse musical background includes playing the cello as well as the guitar in a rock band before discovering an interest in opera singing in his late 20s.
He has performed at Opera Holland Park, rugby stadiums, prom events and Glastonbury Festival as well as top London hotels and private venues.
Stark studied at Trinity College of Music in Greenwich and Morley Opera in London.
Justine Balmer, a featured artist on Classic FM, has performed at many of London’s top venues, including the Royal Festival Hall, the Royal Albert Hall, Cadogan Hall and the Dorchester Hotel, along with concert halls and theatres across the UK.
Her debut album, which is due out this year and will be championed on Classic FM, features a duet with Classical Brit Award Winners Blake.
Tickets are £14 (£12 concessions) and can be ordered from Richard Stark on 01525 839141 or Barnbygate Church on 01636 680769, or RST Music, Cartergate.
The concert will also be performed at Emmanuel Church, Loughborough, on Saturday.
