Pantomime comes to the Palace Theatre, Newark — eight months early.

The Easter pantomine, Robin Hood, is performed on Friday, April 7, at 3pm and 7pm, and the following day at 3pm.

It stars Pop Idol finalist and West End star Gareth Gates in the title role.

Graham Cole, who played Pc Tony Stamp for many years in The Bill, is the Sheriff Of Nottingham and Zippy and George, from Rainbow, are the Merry Men.

Join them in Sherwood Forest as Robin Hood and his Merry Men battle to outwit this dastardly Sheriff of Nottingham. Will Robin Hood seize the day and win the hand of his fair Maid Marion?

All will be revealed in an all-singing, all-dancing rollercoaster ride.
