The Gruffalo
The Gruffalo

Children's favourite monster The Gruffalo is heading back into theatres.

The hit musical adaptation of the best-selling book is back on tour by popular demand and can be seen at the Theatre Royal, Nottingham, from tomorrow (Friday, July 14) to Sunday.

Join Mouse on a daring adventure through the deep, dark wood.

Searching for hazelnuts, Mouse meets the cunning Fox, the eccentric old Owl and the party mad Snake.

Will the story of the terrifying Gruffalo save Mouse from ending up as dinner for these hungry woodland creatures? After all, there’s no such thing as a Gruffalo — is there?

Tall Stories’ smash-hit production is based on the picture book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler.

The story is told by combining songs, laughter and storytelling theatre. It is set to a catchy score with original music and lyrics.

There are performances of the show, which is suitable for those aged three and over, at 1.30pm on Friday; 10.30am on Saturday and 10.30am, 2pm and 4.30pm on Sunday.

Running time is 55 minutes with no interval.
