A dog which was missing for seven days has been found and reunited with his owners.

An appeal was launched to find male Cocker Spaniel Bugzy who was last seen on April 13 on a layby on the A616 between Ompton and Kneesall.

Bugzy was handed back to owner Davina Thorne this morning by the man who found him by the side of the road.

He responded after seeing the online appeal and the dog was collected from Tesco at Ollerton.

The family are overwhelmed to have him back and have fed him nothing but sausages all morning.
