More than 1,000 people attended the inaugural Ladies’ Evening at Southwell Racecourse on Tuesday.

The event featured a seven-race card, and a best-dressed competition.

The winner was Nasreen Knight, a racecourse regular, who won two tickets for Ladies’ Day at the racecourse on August 20 and fast-track entry into the final of that day’s best-dressed contest.

She also won a spa day for two at Eden Hall Spa, Elston.

The judges were Chrissy Ward, marketing executive from Eden Hall, and reservations manager Melissa Tyson.

The event finished with music by the  Flipside Party Band.

Early-bird tickets are available for Ladies’ Day until the end of June. More information is available from www.south
