Saturday sees the return of a town’s premier music festival.
Bingham Town Sports Club will be holding BFest, the fourth edition of its family-focused music festival on Butt Field.
BFest is being organised by volunteers from the club committee, who are responsible for the upkeep and development of the facilities at Butt Field, which are used by Bingham Town youth and senior football clubs and Bingham Town Cricket Club.
The proceeds of BFest will go towards the upkeep of the club and improving the facilities.
One of the key aims of the club is to provide a 3G pitch and add facilities that will enhance the cricket pitch.
The festival will feature a mix of bands from the East Midlands but with an emphasis on local music.
The closing headline act will be tribute band Take That LIVE, who have featured on ITV, BBC3, and a documentary on E4.
Joining Take That LIVE on the main stage will be Little Mix tribute Little Chix; The Money, who play everything from The Beatles to Daft Punk; The Moderators, a mod and ska band; The Engine Room, a local five-piece rock and blues band fronted by Bingham’s Jim Cooper; and Lisa Hendricks, a Nottingham singer-songwriter.
BFest will have two stages. The second will feature acoustic artists and local up-and-coming acts.
The acoustic stage line-up is Hollie Kendall, Elliot (Skel) Sayers, Tiegan Donovan, Dale Thomas, West O’ the Moon, Nicola Jerem, Oakleas Rise, and Strange Currencies.
Children’s funfair rides, food stalls, bars and face-painting will all also feature.
Entry is from 11.45am. The first bands perform from 1pm. The headline act finishes by 10pm.
There will be no ticket sales on the door.
