The Newark part of the March Of The Mods fundraiser for the Teenage Cancer Trust was held at the town’s RAFA Music and Venue Club.

It was support by musicians, singers and DJs who gave their time free of charge.

It was also generously supported by all those who came and helped raise £620 that has been paid to the trust.

My thanks go to everyone who helped with and supported this event.

Newark and the RAFA Music Venue and Club has been chosen to host the event again next year, so see you on March 31, 2018.

We have also raised £170 for Newark’s Beaumond House Community Hospice in the name of Alan Crouch, the longest-serving member of the RAFA Newark branch, who died a couple of weeks ago.

The town mayor, Mr Dean Hyde, attended and music was by the Axminster Burnes And The Rug Cutters, followed by  Beggars Belief.Again many thanks to all those who gave. — BOB McRAE-CLIFTON, Newark RAFA Club, London Road carpark, Newark.
