We in Coddington placed similar reliance on the designation of an area as an Important Open Space where development would not be permitted.

Despite this, planning officers recommended approval and permission was granted for housing on this land, ironically to the district council itself.

One has to wonder if the electorate’s money should be wasted on the expensive preparation of plans that are then ignored by officers and members.

Nevertheless, I wish Mr Holmes success in his fight against this inappropriately located and poorly-designed proposal.

We await the outcome with bated breath. — Mary Molloson, Coddington (Full address supplied).
