Baby Room
Children aged 12 weeks to 2 years old
Our baby rooms are a really special part of our loving nursery, it is often where a lot of our babies experience their 'firsts' in nursery. Our homely environment allows our babies to feel relaxed and easily transition from home to being in nursery. We have two rooms specifically designed for children under the age of 2 years.
We love to do lots of sensory activities with our babies, exploring new objects and working those tiny finger muscles. We explore lots of new sights, smells and textures to engage their minds and to aid their development as they begin to explore the world.
Our tiny tots are at the centre of everything that we do, we have lots of love and cuddles throughout our nursery, just like our children would receive at home.
Toddlers
Our toddler group is for children aged 2 - 3 years.
Our toddler room is a safe, caring environment where toddlers learn by exploring what’s around them with lots of hands-on activities and messy play. This may range from building sandcastles in the sandpit, baking in our home corner or to trying to pick up their own shadow in a puddle whilst exploring the great outdoors!
A key focus for our toddler group is learning how to work and play cooperatively with other children, sharing with others and finding their own personality and voices. We also work closely with parents as our toddlers begin their potty training journey.
We love to explore the area around us, whether we go for picnics on the grass, head to the park or visit the train station.
Pre-School Room
Learning through play, and working as part of a team to share toys are our biggest goals in this room. This may range from hosting tea parties in our home corner, to building towns and houses in our construction area.
In this room we thoroughly enjoy sensory play, as well as carrying out our main 3 programmes 'Dough Disco, Jolly Phonics and Squiggle While you Wiggle'.
Our Pre-school follows the same early learning goals as schools, except we don't like to sit at a table looking at a work sheet (boring) we like to learn through hands-on experiences, exploring the world and PLAYING!
Outside Area
Our Newark nursery is home to a beautiful, large outdoor space sectioned into three different areas. Our sandpit is the heart of our first area where children have the opportunity to be creative and role-play with their friends.
Our baby garden allows our children that are learning to walk to explore a safe space, and enjoy the great outdoors. We have equipment specifically designed to stimulate our baby's desire
to explore, climb, balance and discover.
Playing outside and getting lots of fresh air is always readily available to our children, who have the choice of choosing to play indoors or outdoors all year round. The children
thoroughly enjoy putting on their raincoats and wellington boots in order to find the biggest, muddiest puddle to jump in!
