When Mr R. Sheppard refers to “our planet” I wonder which one he means. Clearly it’s not the same one most Advertiser readers inhabit.

The idea that our county councillors should get a 4% pay rise when many people are struggling with a cost of living crisis, is surely beyond the pale.

So, county councillors have voted to give themselves a pay rise? I wish it was so easy for everyone to award themselves a rise.
