A 20-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of controlled drug supply offences.
After a vehicle stop and search this morning (Tuesday) the man was arrested on Bowbridge Road, Newark.
Officers from Nottinghamshire Police's Operation Sceptre were in force in Newark carrying out patrols to deter and detect knife crime and associated offences.
