The managing director of a Newark-based company has won a regional award.
Mr Cameron Ford, of the Reflect Recruitment Group Ltd, was named director of the year at the Institute of Directors (IoD) East Midlands awards.
He was presented with the SME director of the year award by Dominic Heale, of BBC East Midlands, at the awards lunch in Nottingham.
Judges commented: “Camer-on and his team operate a successful business in a very challenging recruitment sector, with strong emphasis on an ethical approach to helping employers and those looking for work.”
Introducing the awards, Mr Ron Lynch, the Institute of Directors East Midlands regional director, said: “They recognise excellence on the part of directors in the East Midlands, those who have done something special and achieved something significant.
“All our entrants deserve praise for their achievements in a challenging business environment.”
Reflect Recruitment Group Ltd is said to have thrived in an incredibly competitive recruitment market since 2006, providing an excellent service to clients and candidates.
They payroll all temporary staff directly rather than through payroll or umbrella companies and therefore pay full employers’ National Insurance contributions themselves.
Reflect Recruitment do this to ensure that local temporary staff receive their full entitlements and do not have to pay a payroll or any other charge.
Applications for the awards were received from Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire and Nottinghamshire.
Regional winners go on to the Institute of Directors national awards, the winners of which will be announced in September at the Lancaster London Hotel.
