An exhibition featuring work by Balderton Art Club members has opened in the Spotlight Gallery of Newark Town Hall Museum.
It features pieces by most of the club’s 25 members, who meet on Tuesday mornings in Flowserve Sports and Social Club.
The works include oils, watercolours, pastels, and mixed media, covering many subjects.
Most pieces are for sale with prices ranging from £15 to £100.
It is the second time the club has had an exhibition in the gallery.
Members have also displayed their work in a village church and Newark Library.
Phillipa Smith, a member for seven years, said it was important they had an opportunity to put their work on show.
She said: “We are improving as a group every year and this exhibition is particularly good.”
She said it was lovely to have the chance to use the gallery.
“It is a lovely space although I wish it was a little bigger,” she said. “But it is in such a lovely building.”
Jo Atherton, a member for ten years, said she hoped peo-ple would have a look at the work on show.
“We would appreciate it if people went to view the work and left a comment,” she said.
The exhibition runs until September 1.
The gallery is open Monday to Saturday, from 10.30am to 3.30pm. Admission is free.
