300 walk out at Staythorpe

About 300 workers walked out of Staythorpe Power Station in protest this morning.
The workers, who are protesting over a health and safety issue at the site, stopped traffic entering the power station.
About 50 police officers were deployed outside the power station.
Delegates of the GMB and Unite trade unions are due to meet with Alstom this afternoon over the issue.
