A customer having trouble with a pump confirmed as reason for Newark Asda fuel station closure




The fuel station was closed after a motorist drove away attached to a fuel hose.

A staff member at Newark's Asda fuel station, on London Road, has confirmed the site was closed following a customer having trouble with one of the pumps.

The customer drove away with the hose still attached to their car, causing one of the pumps to lift from the ground.

The forecourt had to be closed to ensure customer safety, while repairmen attend the scene.

It is expected to reopen within an hour.
