I don’t like dark evenings that the winter brings,
Because I’m afraid of so many things.
Like burglars and noises outside in the night,
I know I’m a wimp, but it fills me with fright.
One night I was sitting there watching T.V.
A very good programme I wanted to see –
When suddenly I heard a great deal of noise
It came from outside, I thought from some boys
Having a lark, so I looked through the door
Thinking that perhaps I should phone for the law.
There were bangs and crackles, lights shooting up high
And all sorts of odd things lit up in the sky.
The aliens have landed, I was filled with dread,
So, what did I do? I hid under the bed.
