Ye Olde Wytches Market to return to National Civil War Centre in Newark

A pagan market is set to return to a town centre following last year’s success as it introduced a new world of art and crafts to divination.

The Ye Olde Wytches Market is returning to Tudor Hall at the National Civil War Centre on April 26 after having over 600 visitors last year.

The market, running from 10.30am until 4pm, will offer a range of artisan traders, fortune telling, witchcraft supplies and talks.

Organiser Hayley Sansom said: “Everyone that is part of the ye old wytches market follows their own path, has their own beliefs & practices.

“Information is key to advancing knowledge and we have a plethora of trustworthy, lovely traders and guest speakers ready to answer any questions people may have.

“Whether they are just intrigued to find out more about our modern-day witches, wanting to start their own journey or learn about other areas of the craft they are less familiar with.”

Traders at the market will include a range of handcrafted pottery, leatherwork, jewellery, artisan candles, witchcraft supplies, and responsibility sourced crystals.

There will be six guest speakers in the Byron Room and experts on preloved tarot, oracle cards and occult books.

It will also have traditional besom makers and unique divination readers and artists showcasing their mystical creations.

The organiser is also encouraging visitors to explore the museum and its history and to visit the museum’s cafe.

Entrance is £3 on the door on the day and the venue has disabled access to all areas.
