An unlikely set of inmates have been broken out of a dungeon.
A family of ducks decided to wing their way into the dungeons of Newark Castle.
Newark and Sherwood District Council ensured they had their bread and water ration and as soon as their time was served, ie the mum and ducklings were ready, specquackular Andy and Tom from the grounds maintenance team ensured their safe parole to the nearby River Trent.
The family can now be seen enjoying their freedom on the water.
What a happy tale..
