A1 delays of two hours following crash

There are delays on the A1 southbound between the junctions of the A614 and the A638 of two hours caused by congestion due to an accident closing the road between the junctions with the A638 and the A6075 near East Markham.

The road is expected to re-open at 5pm.

Two lorries collided between the Markham Moor roundabout and Tuxford. Approximately 100 litres of diesel has spilt onto the road.

Two people have been taken to hospital by ambulance.

The crash happened at 10.19am.
