The A46 southbound at Newark is currently closed due to a lorry collision.
Two lorries have been involved in a collision on the A46, and the road is currently closed.
Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue crews from Newark and Tuxford are at the scene of a collision between two HGVs on the A46 between Brough and the Winthorpe roundabout.
A spokesman for Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue said: "Fire crews will be leaving the scene shortly. One person, who managed to get out of the vehicle before crews arrived, has been taken to hospital. Avoid the area if possible whilst the recovery of the vehicles takes place."
Highways England have recommended the following diversion for drivers heading southbound:
"From the A46(T) Winthorpe junction, take the first exit onto Drove Lane and head south-east for 2.1km.
At the crossroads at the end of Drove Lane, turn right onto the A17 and follow for 1.5km.
Continue straight over the first roundabout, then rejoin the A46(T) at the A46/A1/A17 Newark junction."
