Accident closes Newark road

Part of Victoria Street, Newark, was closed after an elderly motorist lost control of his car.

The man was taken to Queen's Medical Centre, Nottingham, by the air ambulance, which landed in Sconce and Devon Park.

Police were called to the incident at 11.20am this morning.
