A husky who had never been in a house is up for adoption and wants a home to watch TV in

A homeless husky that had never been inside a house now loves watching TV and is looking for a new home.

Miska the husky had lived on the streets for the best part of three years.

However, the young dog was rescued in March by RSPCA officers and moved into the Radcliffe Animal Centre, where she loves the comforts of being indoors.

Miska is now desperate to settle in a home of her own and get back in front of the TV.

“Poor Miska had an awful start to life and when our inspectors rescued her she was living outside in disgusting conditions, which were completely unacceptable," said Lyn Jarrett, a worker at the Radcliffe Animal Centre.

“She was dirty, smelly, underweight and incredibly hungry.

“When she first arrived here we had to teach her everything as if she was a puppy.

“We do not believe she had ever lived inside a home before so we had to start from scratch.”

Miska went into a special foster home and for three months her carers helped build her confidence and rehabilitate her.

She quickly learned how to live inside and enjoyed spending time with the family watching TV in the evenings.

Lyn added: “While being in our care, Miska has come on leaps and bounds and we would now love to find her the paw-fect home to call her own.

“She has got so much love to give and will make a wonderful, loyal companion for the right family.

“Despite everything she has been through, she takes everything in her stride.

"She is an extremely affectionate dog and has lots of love to offer.

"She is full of potential and has already shown she is very sharp and eager to learn."

The staff from Radcliffe's Animal Centre have said they would like an owner with experience of large breeds, who can continue Miska’s training and can give her lots of time.

She is looking for an adult-only home with no other pets.
