Aerial drone shots reveal completed Suthers School on Fernwood Business Park, Newark
Although work on The Suthers School, on Fernwood Business Park, has been completed, children will have to wait a while longer to go there.
Housed in temporary accommodation at Toot Hill, pupils and staff of the school, which opened in 2017, were due to move into their new state-of-the-art building after the Easter break.
However, due to lockdown and closures of schools, the official opening has been postponed.
Run by the Nova Education Trust, which also operates Toot Hill School, Bingham, and Newark Academy, Balderton, the secondary school will house 830 pupils aged 11 to 18.
The school has two full-sized football pitches, two multi-use games areas, a sheltered quadrangle landscaped courtyard, and a kitchen garden to provide students with the opportunity to grow what they eat.
Each academic year has a designated office and five surrounding classrooms, providing a sense of community within the school.
