Air ambulance, seven fire crews including Newark, and specialist water rescue units called to incident at Cromwell Lock




The air ambulance and seven fire crews joined together to rescue an individual who had entered the water.

Crews from Newark, Retford, Edwinstowe, Worksop, Highfields, Brant Broughton and Grantham — along with the air ambulance and two specialist water rescue units — were called to the incident at 2.17pm today.

They were met with a person who had entered the water at Cromwell Lock.

Firefighters helped the water units perform the rescue in the water, and the individual was handed over to the air ambulance.
