Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance lands near Riverside Park, Newark, following a medical emergency
An air ambulance has landed in Newark following reports of a medical emergency.
Witnesses said they saw the Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance land in a field near Riverside Park at around midday (June 23).
Before landing, the helicopter was seen circling the area near Aldi on Cow Lane and St Mark's Place.
A spokeswoman for East Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We received a call at 12.45pm today, June 23, to Mather Road, Newark, to assist with a medical emergency.
"We sent a paramedic in an ambulance car, a crewed ambulance and the air ambulance. We transported one patient to Queen's Medical Centre via land ambulance."
Nottinghamshire Police confirmed there were no reports of an incident in the area.
