A1 near Tuxford in Nottinghamshire closed due to flooding

Flooding has closed another section of a major road.

The A1 Northbound between Tuxford and Upper Morton is the area affected from the A57 Cliff Gate (Markham / Walesby Junction) to B6387 (Elkesley Village Turn Off).

Southeast of this closure, in Markham Moor, delays of around ten minutes have been reported on A1 Northbound between the A1 and B1164. Average speeds have dropped to ten mph.

Drivers are asked to exercise caution and patience.
