Newark Antiques and Interiors, located off Kelham Road, Newark, now opens its doors seven days a week

The town’s largest antiques centre is now open all week long to encourage more visitors to see what they have to offer.

Newark Antiques and Interiors, located off Kelham Road, have extended their opening hours from Monday to Saturday to now open seven days a week as the business looks to cater for more local Newark buyers.

Manager Alex Davison said that during the centre’s 40 years, in operation, the business had been very much a centre for trade buyers, until 18 months ago.

“At this point we were seeing more and more of the general public show up, and they appear to love shopping where the professional antique dealers buy from,” he said.

“As we are not on the high street, we often struggle with passing trade, and we had so many people passing by on Sundays on the off chance that we were open so we decided to start opening on Sundays too to make it easier for people to walk around and see what we offer.”

Newark Antiques and Interiors offer a huge range of antiques ranging from 1600s in date to retro items from the 1980s, including jewellery, glassware, collectibles, furniture including chairs, tables, chests of drawers, desks, and more.
