A616 crash leads to partial road closure

The A616 Great North Road is partially blocked between Cattle Market roundabout and the Sugar Beet Factory following a crash.

Nottinghamshire Police were called to the scene of a two-car collision at 7.35am.

One woman has taken herself to hospital with minor injuries.

Police are still at the scene waiting for vehicle recovery.

As a result, there is heavy traffic in the surrounding areas A617 and A46.

Police are asking anyone who might have seen anything to call 101 quoting reference number 125 with today's date.
