Argos hopes to open store in Newark Homebase

Argos is planning to open a store within the Homebase premises on Northgate Retail Park, Newark.
A spokesman for Home Retail Group, which owns both companies, said it would be a digital store concession that would be complementary to the shop on Cartergate.
He said the project was only at the planning application stage and so could not comment further.
Newark town councillors have backed the plan, which will be decided by Newark and Sherwood District Council.
