Armed Forces’ Flag Raising

Britain’s Armed Forces past, present and future were honoured at a special flag-raising ceremony at Kelham Hall today.
Newark and Sherwood District Council hosted the ceremony on Monday, a week before Armed Forces Day on June 27. The national event will be held at Chatham Dockyard in Kent.
The chairman of the district council, Mr Bryan Richardson invited organisations and the public to mark the occasion by attending the event.
The chairman’s chaplain, the Rev Vivian Enever, gave a brief dedication, followed by the flag-raising.
