Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue teams remain in attendance of a industrial waste fire in Newark Northgate area




Around 200 tonnes of recycled plastic was on fire at an industrial waste fire today (November 11).

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Services were in attendance at a large fire on Newark Northgate.

First reported around 3pm, there were six fire engines, the welfare unit and the command unit.

The Fire and Rescue Service reported at 7.30pm that two fire engines would remain on scene until 10pm.

The service will be working with partners to determine the cause of the fire in daylight hours.
