Arrest made after assault on Newark Northgate train




An arrest has been made in connection to an assault on a train at Newark Northgate, Nottinghamshire.

Detectives investigating the "serious assault" on a train between London King Cross and Newark Northgate station have made an arrest following the incident on March 22 at around 11.30pm.

The 29-year-old man from Lincoln was arrested on suspicion grievous bodily harm on board a LNER service. He has since been released under police investigation while enquires continue.

British Transport Police (BTP) have thanked everyone for their help in sharing this appeal, but urge anyone with more information to come forward.
