ATM raiders target Southwell Co-op
Detectives are appealing for information about the attempted theft of cash from an ATM in Southwell in the early hours of today.
Police were called to the Co-op, in The Ropewalk, shortly before 1am on July 19.
They found thieves had broken into the foyer of the store before attacking the ATM. However, they failed in their attempt to steal its cash boxes.
Among the lines of inquiry being pursued is a possible link with the theft of cash from an ATM machine at the Co-op store in High Street, Collingham, in the early hours of Friday.
Detectives are keen to speak to anyone who saw vehicles or people in the area around the time of the burglary.
