Balderton Parish Council achieves prestigious National Association of Local Councils bronze award




A council has received a prestigious award, marking a significant milestone in its ongoing commitment to improvement.

Balderton Parish Council has earned a Bronze Award in the Local Council Award Scheme, the chairman of the National Association of Local Councils (NALC) has officially confirmed

The award recognized the council’s practices in governance, community engagement, and continuous improvement, and reflected its effort to deliver outstanding service to the community, beyond its legal obligations.

In a personal note of thanks, the NALC chairman expressed appreciation for clerk Marion Fox Goddard, for her ‘outstanding efforts’ in submitting the Bronze Award application, as well as her dedication throughout the assessment process, as well as aknowledging the entire council’s service to the community and the ‘strong support’ they demonstrated in pursuing the award scheme.

The Local Council Award Scheme is designed to celebrate the achievements of local councils, offer a framework for them to reach their full potential, and encourage ongoing development and innovation.
