A bank in Newark has closed its doors temporarily.
Halifax on Middlegate has shut for the time being due to coronavirus.
This was reported to the Advertiser by readers who had an appointment at the bank this morning (Wednesday).
Halifax said it had to close temporarily due to a number of its Newark staff members self-isolating.
A spokesman said: “We have temporarily closed our Newark branch due to a number of our colleagues self-isolating.
“Our priority is the well-being of our colleagues and customers. We continue to follow government guidance and will re-open as soon as it is safe to do so.”
