Sherwood Forest to host Edwinstowe Book Festival this weekend




A host of forest -related activities are planned for Edwinstowe Book festival on Saturday.

The festival which is a part of Newark Book Festival pop-up showcases will host a series of different activities for all ages in Sherwood Forest.

The magical Ugly Bugs Wingding is a free musical storytelling show that transports the audience to a miniature world of insects.

The event takes place from noon to 1.30pm at the Visitor Centre amphitheatre.

There will be also be storytelling guided walks through the forest at 11am and 1pm to the book When The Trees Talk by Helen Cresswell.

The tickets to the forest guided storytelling are £2 per person and are available at the RSPB Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre Shop or through the website www.newarkbookfestival.org.uk.

Another event hosted by the RSPB Sherwood Forest will be a writing or drawing session inspired by the Sherwood Forest led by Nottingham poet and performer Leanne Moden.

The event will start at 1pm and tickets are £5 per person.
