Boots have applied to Newark and Sherwood Distict Council for permission to replace their rotting shopfront at the opticians in the Market Place

No objections were raised to a planning application by Boots Opticians to replace its rotten timber shopfront in Newark Market Place.

The only comment at a meeting of Newark Town Council’s planning committee, which was in support of the application, was that replacement shopfronts were welcomed when needed.

Newark and Sherwood District Council has the final say.
