Hardy’s Farndon hosts Breakfast with Santa for a third year
A farm shop’s annual Breakfast with Santa has added a charity twist for the community this year.
Hardy’s Farm Shop and Café in Farndon is hosting its family-friendly activity Breakfast with Santa for the third year in a row.
This year, business owner Holly Hardy decided to give back to the community and offer two days to charities in Nottinghamshire.
The two charities are St Ann’s Advice Centre in Nottingham and this weekend, Nyasa Daughters Nottingham will be the ones visiting and having breakfast with Santa.
As the event grows popular, the farm shop is running nine events, which started on November 30 and are set to end on December 23.
During the event, which runs from 8.45am to 11am, award-winning magician Alex Michael will entertain families with magic for a 40-minute show.
It is followed by breakfast served by naughty Christmas elves and then people have the chance to get creative and decorate Christmas cookies.
After breakfast and cookies, it is time to meet and greet Father Christmas at Santa’s Grotto and get a quality stuffed toy as a present.
Holly Hardy said: “The event is all about family, good value for money and the magical festive spirit.
“We decided to give two days for charity because we wanted to give back to the community this Christmas.
“We heard some people say that it was the first time her nine-year-old daughter saw Santa and that was great to hear.
“And then we got a thank you from some families as they said they never got anything like this.”
The popular event was sold out nearly every day, however, people can check on the farm shop’s website for the dates still available.
Holly added: “For me, it is great to see all the families happy, there is nothing nicer than knowing you’re providing an incredible experience to others.”
