Brothers living at Greenfield Close in Newark, part of Salutem Care and Education, have long-held dream of holidaying together fulfilled with Skegness trip




Two brothers in their 60’s have been supported to fulfil a long-held ambition to holiday together.

Ian Carnell, 60, and his brother Malcolm, 68, were accompanied by staff members Darya and Harry from their residential unit.

The brothers live at Greenfield Close in Newark which is a residential unit supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, mental health issues and physical disabilities requiring complex care.

During their stay at a cosy caravan park with in-house entertainment, Ian and Malcolm had the time of their lives.

The trip aimed to cater to their individual needs and interests, creating a truly personalised experience.

The brothers immersed themselves in various activities, delighting in the simple pleasures of life.

Among the highlights of their holiday, Ian and Malcolm relished their visit to the Sea Life Centre, where they encountered fascinating marine creatures up close.

Additionally, the charm of Skegness's picturesque beach captivated their hearts, becoming their favourite destination.

The duo also explored local shops, savouring the essence of the seaside town.
