Fire above the Organ Grinder Pub in Newark dealt with by Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service last night and it is business as usual for the Blue Monkey Brewery premises today

Fire crews attended the scene of a fire last night, (Wednesday, April 3) in a flat above a popular town pub around 8.30pm.

The flat is above the Organ Grinder Pub on Portland Street.

No one was hurt in the incident.

“Thank you all for your calls, messages and concerns about the incident,” said a spokesman from the pub.

“We have had a small fire in the apartment upstairs with a bit of smoke damage caused.”

The pub is part of the Blue Monkey Brewery Group and it was business as usual at the premises this afternoon.
