Business booms for family-owned café at Lincoln Golf Centre
A family run café will be opening their dinner service tonight (Thursday) after spending several weeks creating a unique community space.
The business, which started as a 'pop up' in an outdoor summerhouse during lockdown, is now flourishing with a new indoor location.
The Oaks café sold ice cream and waffles outside in the summer, but now directors James and Jamie have turned their hand to breakfast and lunches in their new dining area.
Jamie said: "We're doing great, its great to be moved into the bricks and mortar from the outside space."
Located at Lincoln Golf Centre, Thorpe-on-the-Hill, the café has been open in the new premises for three weeks and is focused on supporting it's community.
The food is sourced from nearby businesses, including meat from Odlings family butchers and baked goods from Welbourne's bakery.
They also display and sell work by their local artists and host guest stalls selling a variety of goods from flowers to cakes on the premises.
Jamie added: "Its a centre for the community, we're brining a different demographic into the golf centre."
The Oaks' dinner service begins tonight after a successful start to breakfast and lunch trading in the first three weeks.
The business has big ideas for the Christmas season with events such as wreath making and breakfast with Santa being planned, alongside roast dinners and farmer's markets.
The Oaks is open 9am to 9pm daily at Lincoln Golf Centre.
