A long-standing stationery shop is the latest business to close doors in the town centre.
Osbornes Stationers on Kirkgate, Newark has permanently closed without warning.
The retail chain which also owns branches in Oadby and Harborne, closed the Newark branch.
On the door, a paper thanked people for all their custom over the years.
Osbornes Stationers refused to comment on the branch closure.
