Mobile Master opens a store in Newark in former Winkworth estate agency on corner of Bridge Street, Newark

The owner of a business new to Newark says he feels he’s made the right choice having had nothing but best wishes during the period of a premises’ refit.

Muhammad Umair opened his latest Mobile Master shop to customers in the former Winkworth estate agency on the cormer of Bridge Street and Appletongate yesterday.

The shop buys and sells and fixes tech such as mobile phones, laptops, Mac Books and iPads, sells accessories and will soon venture intoi selling vapes.

It is the latest in chain of the independent family-owned shops opened by Muhammad as he builds a network from Newark to Peterborough. He already has stores in Stamford and Spalding and hopes tio open another in Grantham in the future.

The shop opened will be open every day of the week, from 9am to 6pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sundays.

Muhammad said he felt blessed by all of the support he’d had, adding that community supoort and then giving back were the cornerstones of any fledgling business.

“I have had nothing but best wishes from people who have been passing during the period of the refit,” he said.

“Everyone in Newark seems very polite and friendly so I picked well.

“Customers will be able to enjoy good quality products and repairs here in Newark without having to go Lincoln or somewhere else.”
