Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue, Newark and Sherwood District Council and Watersafe UK Search and Rescue Team have been busy helping residents in the flooding caused by Storm Henk
Fire crews and partnering agencies have been working hard across the area assisting residents in the aftermath of Storm Henk.
Crews from places including Worksop were out helping with evacuations and delivering food to people.
Collingham Fire Station has been involved in 13 incidents since the new year with many of them helping with flooding in the district.
"These incidents have included a car fire, rescuing stranded cars in flood water, and an HVP (high volume pump) call to Bestwood Village in Nottingham," said a spokesman from the station.
"This was followed by several calls to evacuate people from flooded properties in Collingham and Girton, along with our colleagues from Newark fire station and their rescue boat.
"We have also covered calls at Clifton pumping out water and further afield with advice and reassuring the local community at Laneham. "Special mention goes to the Bees knees at Laneham who provided refreshments to our crew earlier."
Newark and Sherwood District Council also had staff riding along with fire crews to assist residents in places including Girton.
"Our officers are still out and about in the district, responding to requests for support and help," said a spokesman from Newark and Sherwood District Council.
"Thank you to Waitrose, who donated lots of bottles of water to us, which, with the support of emergency services, we have taken into some of our communities that are currently cut off due to floods."
Dedicated volunteers from the Watersafe UK Search and Rescue Team worked alongside Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Services, helping communities affected by flooding.
The team assisted as part of a multi-agency response in Nottinghamshire, working in several places including in and around Newark.
Southwell Fire Station has been busy with their latest updates reporting that they had helped evacuate residents in Collingham and had gone to Gibsmere with other appliances to help with evacuations there.
