Villagers are being asked to open their gardens this summer to help raise money for charity.

Residents in Collingham open their gardens to the public every year to raise money for the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance.

Organiser Diane Birch is calling more gardeners to step forward this year to take part in the event.

"The garden can be really manicured or could be more naturalised. It doesn’t need to be a perfect garden."

Last year’s event raised £1,000 for the air ambulance.

The event will take place on Sunday June 28. Anyone who is interested in opening their garden should contact Diane Birch on 01636 893002.
