SureCare Newark expands into regulated care services after receiving Care Quality Commission registration

A home care company is set to expand its services — and offer new employment opportunities.

Having received its Care Quality Commission registration, SureCare Newark is now able to provide a full range of domiciliary care, live-in care, respite and holiday care, and dementia and Alzheimer’s care.

Until now, the company, based at the Aura Business Centre on Manners Road, had only been able to provide unregulated services such as companionship, shopping, and cleaning.

SureCare’s Newark branch is led by former electrical engineer Douglas Esson, supported by registered manager Lindsay Marshall — who has over 20 years of experience in the care sector.

Douglas said: “We are excited to now be able to offer a full range of home care services.

“Our focus is on delivering high quality, person-centred care to people living in the Newark community which will enable them to continue living in their own homes for as long as possible,

“We already have a small team who have been delivering the unregulated services since we launched in August last year, and we are now recruiting care workers to deliver the regulated care packages.

“We expect to create jobs for at least 50 people over the next couple of years as the business grows.

“We want to become known as the go-to provider of home care services and support services in our area. I know from first-hand experience of caring for my mum, who is a vulnerable person, what a difference the right care can make. She is very proud of what we’re doing to help other people who are in need of high quality home care services.”
